Housing programs with controlled-cost were widely developed in Portugal until the 1990s. It was here that architects were able to explore housing typologies that could integrate people of different backgrounds and habits, seeking to resolve with architecture. Cape Verde announced a program called "Casa Para Todos". The project is located in the Municipality of Boavista, Ilha da Boavista, Cape Verde, and aims to build a set of 294 houses of social interest. The program consisted of 294 dwellings, commercial spaces, gardens and streets within a value of around €360/m2.
