This project consist in a proposal for the renovation of the Herdade dos Grous winery, located in Beja, Alentejo, in Portugal. Cellar Door is the name given for the entrance building of the winery inserted on the top of the alentejano hill, that holds the program of wine tasting and shop. Afterwards, the renovation of the Wine Cellar, where the wine is stored.

The Cellar Door building is proposed in a way that follows the tradicional cellars idea, that conventionally are conceived in underground floors in order to keep a good wine temperature. The Cellar Door building is proposed halfway under the ground level, and as every door holds a path, this one sectionades the building on top of the hill, leading to the Herdade dos Grous wine cellar. The building has the typical Portuguese formation, with low roofs, generating wide views to the Alentejo landscape.
